This is going to be a little off topic from the last posts, but I felt that we should just give al little shout out to the New York City Moynihan Train Hall and Penn Station. The train stations house many different trains, (Long Island Railroad, Amtrak, NJ Transit, etc.), that come in on their many tracks (18+).

Moynihan Train Hall and Penn Station connect underground where the platforms are. In between the platforms and the stations, there's the link to the subway systems near by. All different trains come in and out of the stations on all of the different tracks. From personal experience, I can say that the Empire Service train that leaves at 7:15pm always leaves from track 5 or 6.

The stations also have a variety of stores and café/restaurants. There's a Walgreens, Magnolia Café, and a Starbucks. There's also a food hall may more little restaurants. I have been in the Walgreens, while it is smaller than rest, it's pretty spacious.

Based on my personal experience from riding on Amtrak trains, they are mostly on time to arrive and mainly stick to their schedule. I usually take the 241 Empire Service train at 7:15 pm to Albany, NY. This train has been the most reliable to me. There have only been a few times where this train was delayed, but only for 20-30 minutes. The Ethan Allen Express train has let me down the most. Being on one train going to Albany and coming back from Albany, there have been instances where things have gone wrong and has caused several hour long delays. Let's just say, I don't take that train anymore.

Even though there was a few set backs on different trains, the trains and the train stations are still relatively nice. Moynihan Train Hall and Penn Station are very nice stations and have much more to offer than train service.

I have made a short video about the train stations. To view, click the link below.

That's all for now, until next time,
